How to pickle grapes
Grapes are a very tasty berry, which is most often consumed fresh. But grapes can also be pickled. Pickled berries can later be added to various salads and light snacks, while the leaves are suitable for making dolma.
How to pickle grapes
There are many recipes for pickling grapes, below are the most interesting of them.

This is a very simple recipe for making grapes very quickly. It is worth noting that the finished product is stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
We will need:
3 cups of red and white grapes;
6 sprigs of rosemary;
2 tbsp. spoons of wine white vinegar, salt;
5 cloves of garlic;
2 h. spoons of sugar;
a pinch of red pepper.
Rinse red and white grapes thoroughly, place the berries in half-liter jars, put a sprig of rosemary in each jar, which will add a unique aroma to the grapes. Pour vinegar into an enamel saucepan, add salt, sugar, red pepper and crushed garlic cloves. Bring this mixture to a boil, pour the hot vinegar over the berries in the jars and twist them loosely. Leave the jars for half an hour at room temperature, then close the jars tightly, put in the refrigerator. Berries should be served chilled.
Indian pickled grapes
An interesting recipe with the addition of spices – curry and mustard. It turns out no less tasty pickled grapes.
We will need:
1 kilogram of grapes;
a glass of vegetable oil;
2 curry leaves;
2 h. spoons of mustard seeds;
1 st. a spoonful of salt;
a pinch of chili powder.
Rinse the grapes, dry them on paper towels. Treat this item responsibly – if moisture remains in the berries, then long-term storage will no longer be possible! Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan and fry the mustard seeds with chili powder and curry leaves.
How to pickle grapes
Send the berries to the fragrant oil in a saucepan, cook for about fifteen minutes. After that, you can pour the berry mixture into clean jars. Thanks to the oil with an abundance of spices, this mixture will work as a preservative, therefore, the berries will not spoil for a long time. Pickled grapes in Indian style are stored for up to three months.
Pickled sweet grapes for the winter
A great option for canned grapes for the winter. At any time of the year you can enjoy grapes.
We will need:
1 kg of red grapes;
3 cups red wine vinegar;
4 cinnamon sticks;
8 bay leaves;
2 1/4 cups sugar;
1 st. a spoonful of mustard seeds;
1 hour. a spoonful of cumin, salt.
Arrange the grapes in sterilized jars. Pour the vinegar into the saucepan, heat it up. Put sugar in it along with mustard seeds, salt, cumin, parsley and cinnamon sticks. Bring the liquid to a boil, cook it for no more than ten minutes over moderate heat. Pour berries in jars with hot vinegar, cover loosely with lids. Next, sterilize the jars in a water bath, calculate the time based on the volume of the container. After this procedure, you can roll up the jars with lids, cool under the covers. Such grapes can be closed in the summer, it will not deteriorate even until winter.
Pickled grape leaves
If you like to cook dolma, then you should pickle grape leaves for this purpose.
We will need:
40 pcs. grape leaves;
half a glass of lemon juice;
salt for everyone.
Pour water into a large saucepan, bring to a boil. Dip the grape leaves in boiling water, cook for no more than a minute, then quickly remove them, put them in a bowl of cold water. Drain water from chilled leaves, pat dry. Stack five sheets on top of each other, roll like a cigar.
How to pickle grapes
Place rolled leaves in jars, pour over lemon juice. Bring the water in which the leaves were boiled again to a boil, pour into jars – the water should completely cover them. Cover with lids, put in a water bath for twenty minutes, then you can roll up the jars and let them cool under the covers.
