How to protect yourself from looting during a Florida hurricane

The media often embellish events to boost ratings. So the main myth is that the number of murders during natural disasters increases dramatically. But at the expense of looting – this is not a myth, it flourishes in such difficult periods.

The fact is that most of the population is evacuated even before the start of the hurricane, those who stay specifically to profit steal almost everything that is in stores and houses: digital equipment, jewelry, food, water, clothes, alcohol, weapons and much more . Already after the hurricanes, rescuers note that it is simply impossible to work in some areas, as armed looters are trying to find everything they can profit from.

Martial law is introduced to fight the marauders, and additional policemen, the regular army and the national guard are sent to the cities. Many of these employees are busy fighting criminals, not helping the victims.
