What is a decor show in Florida and its features
Decorator show in sunny Florida – Palm Beach Kips Bay Decorator Show House is organized for the second time.
This spacious Mediterranean-style home is filled from floor to ceiling with whimsical patterns, intricate hues and new ideas in just four months. You can visit it by buying a ticket for $ 35. The interiors were designed by 22 leading design firms in the country.
The main staircase and lobby were decorated by Lee W. Robinson and Kyle Johnson. Climbing up it is like entering a forbidden garden. Birds chirping, a fountain and a green living wall give way to classic elements such as trellis and Chinese-style wallpaper. Lee W. Robinson of Kentucky designed a cage in which live birds sing. They are all named after influential 20th-century decorators Dorothy Draper, Sister Parish, Elsie de Wolfe, Mario Bouatta and Albert Headley. The limestone staircase is carpeted by The Rug Company.
Family living room. It is forbidden to chat in this room around the clock. On the contrary, designer David Phoenix, David Phoenix Interior Design wanted to create a relaxed seating area away from our digital lives. “If this were my room, I would spend here with my coffee and paper every morning,” says David. “Let everyone sit and chat in a quiet, comfortable place.” To do this, he proposed neutral shades in the palette of the surrounding nature. There is no bad view in the room: all sofas and armchairs (from Hickory Сhair) are correctly oriented. The fireplace is carved from limestone. The doors are framed in Kravet’s Phoenix fabric, and the walls are painted in Winter Orchard by Benjamin Moore.
Master bedroom. David Mitchell Brown used translucent light as a guide. The citrine-yellow silk of the draperies led him to a palette reminiscent of soft watercolors. “The colors are warm and comfortable at night when you want to go to sleep, but they are more energizing in the morning,” says Brown, who has also used the reflective power of de Gournay’s hand-painted silk wallpaper. The headboard is clad in Jim Thompson charcoal silk panels, creating a deep contrast with the softer hues in the room.
