So, how can you decorate a balcony?
First you just need to choose the right furniture for this place in your apartment. Remember that it must meet many requirements – do not fade under the hot rays of the sun, do not rot or rust in high humidity. Ideally, garden furniture meets these requirements, so it would be wise, without going into special searches, to immediately go to the appropriate department of the store.
If your plans include a good rest on the balcony, it makes sense to think about purchasing a hammock. Imagine how pleasant it will be for you to lie down in it after a hard day and, relaxing, enjoy the sunset in peace and quiet.
The balcony, of course, needs to be landscaped – otherwise it will be difficult to create a cozy atmosphere in it. But, given the small and sometimes even tiny size of the balconies in our apartments, it’s not even necessary to talk about large pots with large plants. Therefore, place your flowers on the balcony vertically by attaching flower pots to its walls. You can install multi-tiered planters in which hanging plants will please your eye.
If you love nature and, in particular, cannot imagine a holiday without the chirping of birds, hang a bird feeder on your balcony – and soon sparrows, tits and doves will become her regular guests.
To move away from standard solutions, you can even hang a mirror on the balcony. Do not be surprised – interior designers, of course, do not recommend hanging an ordinary mirror on the balcony – it is best to use frameless mirrors to visually expand the space. So, on sale you can find mirrors made in non-standard forms. For example, there are mirrors in the form of flowers, animals or plants. You can go the other way and lay out the slopes of the balcony with pieces of a broken mirror – this solution will also look very original.
To make your balcony as a whole look beautiful and attract the admiring glances of passers-by, be creative and turn an ordinary balcony lattice into an unusual one. Naturally, the question arises – how to do it? The answer is very simple – hang unusual objects on the balcony railing and fasten them well so that even a strong wind is not afraid of them. The balconies look quite original from the side, on the railings of which hang, for example, old watering cans, multi-colored buckets or original jugs.
An important element of the decor of your balcony should be lamps. And they do not have to be electric at all – on a balcony overlooking the sunny side, it is quite possible to use lamps that are charged from the sun. Such lamps will help you create coziness on the balcony in the evenings without consuming electricity at all and saving your family budget.
If you are not alien to the original options for decorating and lighting the balcony, then light candles on your balcony in the evenings. In order to prevent them from being blown out by the wind, and to avoid a fire, place them in ordinary small glass jars, which you hang on hay. You can make the jars multi-colored – then your balcony will give a positive mood not only to you and your neighbors, but also to passers-by.
