“Finns” will teach “Karelians” to build wooden houses
During the visit of the head of Karelia Alexander Khudilainen to the Setles plant, which is part of the Stora Enso concern, one of the largest enterprises in Finland based on Finnish capital, a conversation with the general director of the enterprise Andrey Plokhov, among other things, turned to Finnish technologies that allow produce structures intended for the construction of multi-storey wooden houses.
This technology, which has proven itself in eleven countries of the world, can prove itself both in Karelia in particular and in Russia in general. At the same time, according to Hannu Kasurinen, Vice President of Stora Enso, the concern is ready to provide all the necessary high-precision equipment right now. By the way, a large selection of special equipment is presented here. But, to the great regret of those concerned, everything depends not only on the technology of manufacturing wooden structures and the construction of wooden houses. At the moment, the main “stumbling block” is Russian legislation, which strictly prohibits the construction of wooden houses more than three floors high.
Alexander Khudilainen paid close attention to Kasurinen’s words, noting that within the framework of Russia-EU cooperation, the maximum possible unification of construction standards will also be discussed.
