Do-it-yourself PVC panel installation

The easiest way to level the ceiling is to install panels. The result is a finish that does not require puttying and painting. This coverage has its pros and cons. The most important advantage is that the installation of PVC panels with your own hands on the ceiling involves their further dismantling and repeated fastening. With the help of panels, you can hide pipes, wiring, and it’s also not scary if the neighbors flood.

Do-it-yourself PVC panel installation

First you need to mount the frame made of galvanized profiles. The guide profile should be mounted on or above the tile. When drilling concrete and brick walls, different dowels are used. When attaching the frame to the tile, you need to use two drills, namely, a feather drill, and then a drill. If you need to drill metal, then carbide drills are used, the prices for carbide drills are higher, but they will last much longer. It is recommended to install PVC panels every 30-50 centimeters. If you plan to use spotlights, then you should take into account their height and the distance that should be between the ceiling and floor slabs.

After the frame is mounted, it is necessary to determine the direction of fastening PVC panels. It is necessary to attach the starting profile around the perimeter. This can be done with simple self-tapping screws with press washers. Ceiling panels must be cut to the required size with a hacksaw, grinder or jigsaw. At the same time, a small gap must be left on the panel.

The PVC panel is attached as follows:

one. First you need to make sure that the panel is the right size.

2. Then you need to bring the narrow part of the panel into the profile and push it all the way.

3. Then you need to do the same with the other narrow part of the panel.

four. Next, you need to bring the PVC panel with the long side to the profile and start winding. Should be pushed all the way.

5. Further, everything is simpler, namely, it is necessary to start the narrow sides of the panels and slide them into the previous groove.

6. Fasten the panels with self-tapping screws.
